PERSEVERANCE – steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
Lately, I have found myself more focus than ever. I remember 13 years ago only caring about unimportant things in life, such as owning brand name clothing, a nice car, going to the hottest night clubs, etc. Now I find those things to not matter. I wished I have listened to my husband (boyfriend at that time) to invest my money in real estate or to get a different education to help me make more money.
Well, his perseverance made a better me. Now, I have a different mentality, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I find myself trying to better myself, I read more books about how to succeed in real estate. We are starting a business in house flipping, and I am working on my blog and my virtual assisting business. A few years ago, I took a tax class that taught me how to prepare my own taxes and how having a business minimizes tax liability.
I try to share my knowledge with my family members but it seems that I will have to keep trying so they too, can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
One book that opened my eyes was “Why A students work for C students and B students work for the government” by Robert T. Kiyosaki. In the book, he refers to “A” students who are college students and get straight As and owe thousands of dollars in college loans. “C” students are the entrepreneurs and “B” students the ones that obtain a bachelor’s degree and move on to work for the government. I came to realize, I was a “B” student but now I am a “C” Student. I want to own businesses that are successful, which will need “A” students to run it for me, while I sit in my beach house somewhere in the world. After all, having a college degree is not a priority anymore. I graduated with a BS in Business Administration, which helped me survive for a couple of years. The world is changing and entrepreneurs are ruling it!
I will not stop, hope you will not too. Set a goal and figure out how to complete it, stop with the excuses and become a better you.
